Hey I'm Kate, the creator behind our unique range of artisan car fresheners and luxury wax melts.

At Hunter and Walker, we believe fragrance is more than just scent, it's a statement.  An expression of your style to restore the calm to a space that is entirely yours.

We create refined, plant-based wax melts for those who value sophisticated, layered fragrances.  Each blend is developed by perfumers and tested for strength, depth, and lasting power. Fragrance that lingers and transforms a room.

Our coconut and rapeseed wax melts are hand-poured in Kent with designs to enhance the fragrance, not distract from it.  Mica powders, botanicals and crystals are chosen not just for their beauty, because nothing is decorative without purpose.

The Story Behind Hunter and Walker

Nothing says 'welcome' like being greeted with a gorgeous fragrance as the front door opens and Hunter and Walker was inspired by a passion for quality.

There’s something magical about how a scent can instantly lift your spirits and create a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Before Hunter and Walker, I often found myself disappointed with shop-bought products that lacked longevity or smelled artificial.

My journey began in June 2021 when I attended a candle-making course at the renowned Old Bexley Soap and Candle Company and was taught by the wonderfully knowledgeable Paula. 
It was then that I discovered the art of combining wax and fragrance to fill a room with scent - A skill that is scientifically more complex than it appears.

After lots of experimenting and testing, I finally created my first batch of wax melts that met the high standards I'd set for Hunter and Walker.

Every product undergoes rigorous testing to ensure it delivers on our promise of the highest quality and long-lasting scent.

Products Testing for Long-Lasting Scent and Strength

In the testing phase, our scented wax melts are made at different strengths.
This is because maximum strength is not always best when using oils developed by fragrance specialists!

Our melt tests are conducted in a semi-controlled environment using a selection of wax burners that replicate the different ways our customers will use them in their homes.

How Our Wax Melts are Tested

Every wax melt is tested over 3x burns, each lasting four hours.
We assess the following for performance;

• The hot throw — How far the scent travels from the wax warmer.
• How many hours each wax melt provides scent.
• How strong the scent is.
• We even get feedback directly from our existing customers by giving out samples for them to test in their home too.

It's a combination of all the results that determine whether a new product meets the high standards our customers deserve. Only the best wax melts will go into production.

Sustainability Practices

Hunter and Walker is committed to sustainability with ethical and responsible sourcing of raw materials.

Our coconut and rapeseed wax blend is certified organic by the Soil Association and Ecocert, vegan-friendly, Kosher, Halal, GMO-free, phthalates-free, and paraben-free.

Our luxury wax melts are cruelty-free and packaged using recyclable glassine bags.  The Mica powder used in our designs is ethically sourced or manmade.

Our Fragrance Halo™ car air fresheners are made using Halo Pearls sourced from a factory that utilises bio-circular balanced and renewable energy manufacturing processes. To keep the scent fresh, they are packaged in compostable, plant-based wrappers.

The Fragrance Halo™

Our Fragrance Halo™ is not your typical car air freshener; it’s an absolute game changer.

Made with highly absorbent Halo Pearls™, it locks in up to 30% of its weight in luxury fragrance providing you with long-lasting car scent for over eight weeks.

The design is dry to touch so it eliminates the chance of messy oil leaks, and features an adjustable cord to shorten it so you don’t get distracted whilst driving.

Luxury Wax Melts

Using sustainable Coconut and Rapeseed plant-based wax, each scented wax melt features our signature mica powder designs that are applied entirely by hand.

We use crystal gemstone embeds and botanicals to further enhance the appearance.
